NEW! Student Council Movie Night
The Student Council is hosting an awesome Movie Night fundraiser on Friday, February 7th, featuring the hilarious Despicable Me 4. Tickets include popcorn and a drink, so don’t miss out on a fun night with friends. Make sure your parents fill out the Google Form permission slip so you can attend. 

NEW!  Parent Nominations for the Gifted and Talented Program
The Readington Township School District will begin accepting parent nominations for the Gifted and Talented Program for students in 1st-7th grade on February 1st. All parent nomination forms must be completed online no later than March 21st.  Since the assessment process will begin immediately following the nomination deadline, late entries cannot be accepted.

SAVE THE DATE!  Barnes & Noble Book Fair
The Barnes & Noble Book Fair is returning on Thursday, February 13th, from 5:00-7:30 to the Somerville Circle Barnes & Noble store.  This year's event theme is “Reading is Sweet!” and will feature student performances, in-store challenges and activities, and a student vs. teacher competition, as well as the opportunity to pick up a little Valentine’s Day treat for those you love!

NEW! Lost and Found
RMS Families, please note that all Lost and Found items have been out this week for the students to go through.  All items not claimed by 4pm on Thursday, January 23rd, will be donated to the HSA Used Clothing Drive. Please remind your students to go through all items outside the cafetorium.  If you would like to come in and go through with your student, you may do so after school hours from 2:35pm - 4:00pm Wednesday or Thursday.  The front doors are open during that time for the afternoon Homework Room.  If you have any questions, please email rmsattendance@readington.k12.nj.us.  Thank you.

Chef Day at RMS
Maschio's and the cafeteria staff will be celebrating a Chef Day at RMS on January 28, 2025.  Chef Scott will be onsite to prepare and serve a South Asian Bar.  This is in response to the suggestions from the students at the Food Advisory Committee Meeting.  They specifically requested chicken tikka masala.  Please note that all ingredients in the dishes are listed in the digital menus that are on the district's website. Please see the flyer for more information.

5^TH Grade Music Field Trip Donation Drive!
Let’s do some math… there are 115 band/orchestra/chorus students going to Dorney Park for the High Notes Music Festival in May. If each student asks just *5 people to donate $10 each*, that would more than pay for the cost of the buses for the trip! Please donate here and also share the link with family, friends, local businesses, etc. Thank you

We are conducting a search for the next Director of Pupil Services. As part of this process, we have developed a short survey for parents to complete. The district will use this survey to develop questions and tasks for potential candidates during the search process. NEW! Preschool School Bus Aide Vacancy / Employment Opportunity
The Readington Township School District has vacancies for afternoon school bus aides at $25/hour serving our preschool students while on K-3 bus routes. If you have interest in helping, please contact Jason M. Bohm, Business Administrator, at jbohm@readington.k12.nj.us or by calling 908-534-2885. Mid-day work as a cafeteria aide helping teaching staff monitor the lunchroom can be made available for those interested seeking additional hours of employment.

Fall Donation Drive
Thank you to everyone who donated to our fall donation drive, we collected $870!

Winter Concerts
Thank you to everyone who donated refreshments or helped out at the FPAC tables during the HBS/RMS Winter concerts. We raised $700 from the sales of snacks, water, and flowers!
